ADJUSTMENT TABLES
FERTILIZER SPREADERS
FCA Fertilisants has collaborated for many years with manufacturers of spreading equipment. Being able to determine the adjustment tables of agricultural devices to optimize the benefits of eco-alternative fertilization is essential.
The settings are made according to the type of product to be spread but also according to safety rules and regulatory obligations.
RULES OF
SECURITY
Certain safety rules relating to the quality of the spreading site must be taken into account, in addition to paying particular attention to the handling of fertilizers.
SPREADER CONDITION CONTROL
- Verification of the following elements: cleanliness of the hopper, agitators, symmetry of the valves and metering flaps.
- Lubrication of adjustment devices
- Change of any used parts
UNLOADING BULK FERTILIZERS
- Verification of product discharge on a flat surface
- Balancing the hopper load on the right and left
DRAINING FERTILIZER BAGS
- Opening of the bags from a platform located above the hopper
- Use of a suitable lifting device to lift the bags, ensuring that the fork does not have sharp edges
CONSTRUCTION SITE
- Before the work:
- Checking the horizontality of the spreader
- Adjusting the jack stands and the height of the discs from the ground
- During the work:
- PTO and spreader agitator shutdown when the drain flaps are closed and the tractor is stopped
- After the work:
- Verification of the complete emptying of the spreading
- Dry cleaning with a broom
- Verification of the complete emptying of the spreading
APPLY ACCORDING TO OPTIMUM CONDITIONS
Getting precise spreading helps limit losses. This is possible if the working conditions are optimal. The following elements should therefore be taken into account:
- Wind speed must be less than 15 km / h in order to obtain good symmetry of the spreading layers as well as uniformity of the spreading rate.
- Soil re-drying must be taken into account so that the tractor can travel at the planned speed without slippage in order to benefit from a regular flow. The goal is to avoid ruts that reduce the projection width and the height of the spreader above the ground.
- The rather dry weather offers a regular flow and flow at the bottom of the hopper because the fertilizers remain dry.
